About

Hello! My name is Kelly Walsh. I am the CIO at The College of Westchester in White Plains, NY, where I also teach as a member of Faculty of Administration. In 2009, I founded the popular website EmergingEdTech.com, where I write regularly about engaging students and enhancing learning outcomes through the use of emerging Internet and instructional technologies.

Since 2011, I’ve been raising awareness of flipped instruction tools and techniques, and introducing the concept to educators across the world, through articles on EmergingEdTech.com and more recently on this web site, in presentations at conferences and schools across the U.S., and through online workshops. I’ve helped many teachers make the transition to flipped instruction.

Several times a year, I offer a 4 Week Online Flipped Classroom Workshop, an excellent, affordable professional development opportunity. Educators from across the world and across the spectrum of grades and subject areas have enjoyed this unique offering, learning how to get started with flipped teaching and learning. Many teachers with prior ‘flipping’ experience have also participated in the workshop and gained new techniques and tools to take back to their classrooms.

Learn more about the next upcoming workshop here. I hope you’ll consider joining us. In the meanwhile, sign up for blog posts and enjoy the resources shared here!
